Kiwis have the chance to drive away with a piece of movie memorabilia after the Mini Cooper S used in car chase film Pork Pie went up for sale.

The yellow Cooper known as Blondini stars in the 2017 film - a remake of the classic Kiwi film Goodbye Pork Pie - in which it pulls off countless stunts and car chases with police.

It is up for auction on website Trade Me until May 1.

Luckily, for would be buyers, it emerged through filming largely unscathed after two other Coopers were used for the bulk of the stunts.

"My brother, who was sadly burned to death at the end of the shoot (god bless his soul), and my other brother ... were the two major stunt cars in the film," the Blondini Cooper, which is being driven by the film's producer, said on its Trade Me advertisement.

Despite its relatively gentle role, the Cooper did need some minor cosmetic surgery once filming wrapped.

"Don't judge me, all us movie stars are doing it these days, so my body is in great nick," it said.

With the Cooper's eventual buyer also getting a movie poster and DVD signed by the film's cast, the highest bid on Thursday morning stood at $32,747.
