Missing Hutt Valley gang member arrested

NZ NewswireNZ Newswire 7/07/2016

More than a month after he allegedly took off his ankle bracelet, a missing Hutt Valley Mongrel Mob member has been arrested.

Police on Thursday afternoon said they had found 26-year-old TeAriki Malloy in Whanganui.

Earlier this week, they said they had fears for Malloy's safety, after he allegedly took his electronic monitoring bracelet off in May, breaching his home detention.

At the time police said he was known to have access to firearms and shouldn't be approached.

Police on Thursday thanked members of the public who had contacted police in Whanganui and the Hutt Valley with "various bits of information".
