Moimoi faces early suspension

Former New Zealand international Fuifui Moimoi is in danger of missing Toronto Wolfpack's first home game through suspension.

The former Parramatta and Leigh forward has been charged following his dismissal for a high tackle during the Wolfpack's 14-6 win over Siddal in the third round of the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup last Saturday.

Toronto are Canada's first professional rugby league team, and are playing their inaugural season in England's League One.

Moimoi, who does not have the option of an early-guilty plea, will appear in front of a Rugby Football League independent disciplinary panel in Leeds next Tuesday.

He will be charged with a grade E offence, which carries a ban of between four and eight matches.

Moimoi is free to play in the Wolfpack's first League One game against London Skolars at the New River Stadium on Saturday.

However, a suspension of more than more than four matches would rule him out of their historic home opener against Oxford in Toronto on May 6.
