Spain and Colombia have played out a 2-2 draw in their soccer friendly in Murcia.

Spain drew their friendly with Colombia 2-2 on Wednesday thanks to a late goal from Alvaro Morata.

Spain took the lead on 22 minutes when David Silva turned in Pedro Rodriguez' cross and Colombia goalkeeper David Ospina could only get a hand to it as the ball crossed the line.

Colombia equalised on 40 minutes thanks to a mistake at the heart of Spain's defence.

Gerard Pique, Cesar Azpilicueta and goalkeeper Pepe Reina all left a dangerous bouncing ball for someone else to clear and Edwin Cardona stole in to loft the ball over the line.

James Rodriguez was impressive for Colombia and went close on several occasions as the visitors finished the first half strongly.

It was the Real Madrid midfielder who created the second goal for Colombia on 55 minutes with perfectly-flighted corner that Radamel Falcao rose to head powerfully past Reina.

But another Real Madrid player would have the last word when substitute Morata levelled for Spain with three minutes left heading in Saul Niguez' cross.
