Police have made five arrests during anti-terror raids in Sydney’s west this morning.

The arrests were made after armed officers raided properties in Lockwood Street in Merrylands, Bursill Street in Guildford, Lane Street in Wentworthville and Booth Street in Marsfield in the early hours of this morning.

Those in police custody are:

• A 16-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man from Wentworthville

• A 22-year-old man and a 24-year-old man from Merrylands

• A 22-year-old man from Marsfield

Police say the raids are related to Friday's shooting in Parramatta in which a 15-year-old boy shot dead NSW Police accountant Curtis Cheng.

The arrests follow a joint operation between NSW Police, Australian Federal Police and the Homicide Squad.
