Munro smashes match-winning CPL knock

NZ NewswireNZ Newswire 16/07/2016

Big-hitting Black Cap Colin Munro has struck another match-winning knock for the Trinbago Knight Riders in the Caribbean Premier League.

Munro flew to 68 off 39 balls as his team beat the Barbados Tridents by seven wickets in a mid-table match at Kensington Oval, Barbados.

The home side posted 172-4 but couldn't stop Munro striking six sixes and two fours as the Knight Riders stormed to 173-3 with 14 balls to spare.

Munro became the first overseas player to score a CPL century two weeks ago, thrashing an unbeaten 100 against Guyana.

He is this season's second-highest run-scorer behind his South African team-mate Hashim Amla, having scored 258 runs at an average of 51.6.
