Murder charge over Pakuranga shooting

A 22-year-old has been charged with murder following the shooting death of a Pakuranga woman.

Chozyn Koroheke, 22, died after being shot at close range at a Pakuranga Road home on April 4, police said at the time.

On Monday they said a man had been charged with her murder after handing himself in at the Manukau police station on Sunday evening.

He will appear in the Manukau District Court on Tuesday.

Two others, a 47-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman, had been charged with being an accessories after the fact of murder, police said.

Further charges could not be ruled out.

Three other men, aged 27, 30 and 30, were also arrested during the investigation into the death on unrelated charges of unlawful possession of a firearm.

Ms Koroheke was the mother of two young children.
