Megan Craig and Paul Coll have been named top seeds in their respective draws for the senior squash national championships, which start on Friday.

Craig takes top billing in the women's draw as last year's winner, Joelle King, will be playing in the Hong Open next weekend instead.

It gives Craig, ranked 53 in the world, the perfect opportunity to reclaim the trophy she won in 2014 when King snapped her Achilles tendon during the final.

World No. 62 Amanda Landers-Murphy is seeded second for the nationals which also double as a selection event for the world women's team championships in Paris later this year.

Emma Miller, Ellie Epke, Danielle Fourie, Rebecca Barnett, Joanna Shanks and Abbie Palmer round out the top eight.

In the men's draw Coll, the world No.31, will be hoping to make it back-to-back titles at the Remuera Rackets Club after claiming the trophy last year.

Campbell Grayson (world No.42) is second seed with Evan Williams, Lance Beddoes, Ben Grindrod, Chris van der Salm, Oliver Johnson and Chris Lloyd making up the top eight.
