Netball NZ boss to step down

NZ NewswireNZ Newswire 7/06/2016

Netball New Zealand's boss is leaving the role.

Chief executive Hilary Poole will quit her post at the end of the month after three years in the job.

She advised the board of her decision to quit earlier in the year once the structure of the new domestic competition had been finalised.

"Whilst there is never an ideal time to leave a role I do believe now is the best time in the netball cycle.

"It will allow Netball New Zealand to bring in new leadership to implement the strategic changes that have been put in place, heading towards the 2019 Netball World Cup in England," Poole said.

Before taking on the Netball NZ role Poole had been chief executive of Hockey New Zealand.
