Police have made seven further arrests and seized more drugs during raids targeting the alleged supply of methamphetamine in the Wellington region by Mongrel Mob members.

The seven people arrested face almost 30 drug related charges.

It comes on top of searches of Porirua properties on Tuesday, which uncovered at last $450,000 cash, 10 firearms and two stolen motorbikes estimated to be worth around $30,000.

Six people were arrested following Tuesday's raids and assets worth $1.8 million frozen, including two residential properties, 13 vehicles, two boats and a jet ski.

The total value of assets now frozen is about $2.3m.

A hand grenade found during the Tuesday raids has been examined and was found to have been previously disabled so that it could not explode.
