A 12th woman has reported being indecently assaulted in an Auckland suburb after police said they were seeking a teenage boy over a spate of attacks.

The woman said she was attacked in Onehunga on Easter Monday by a boy who fitted the description of the offender.

Police on Thursday said they were looking for a Maori or Pacific Island boy aged between 12-16 over the attacks on females walking or running in the suburb since October last year.

The victims, aged 21-52, have been approached from behind and indecently assaulted.

Police said around 15 calls have been made to a hotline set up by the investigation team.
