No day-night Test in India for Black Caps

NZN 28/06/2016

New Zealand's cricket tour of India this year won't feature a day-night Test.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India announced the Black Caps will play three Tests and five one-day internationals in September and October, with the tour beginning three weeks after New Zealand's two-Test tour of South Africa.

There had been speculation one of the Tests would be the first played in India under lights. However, the BCCI confirmed all three would begin at 9.30am.

The first Test is in Kanpur from September 22, the second in Kolkata from September 30 and the third at a new Test venue in Indore from October 8.

The ODIs run from October 16-29, in Dharamsala, Delhi, Mohali, Ranchi and Visakhapatnam.
