New Zealand have eased to a comfortable 3-0 win over Mexico in the first round of matches at the women's squash teams world championship in Paris.

No.1 King was the most dominant, beating Diana Garcia 11-5 11-5 11-4 in just 15 minutes.

New Zealand face a significantly tougher test in their second group match, against top seeds Egypt, whose three players are ranked inside the world's top four.

Egypt opened with a 3-0 rout of India, who will be New Zealand's opponents in what will be a key final pool game on Wednesday.

The two leading teams advance to knockout stage.
