NZ finish seventh at women's squash worlds

Joelle King and Amanda Landers-Murphy have notched wins to fire New Zealand to a 2-1 win over Australia in their final match at the women's squash world championships in Paris.

The Kiwi team finished the 32-nation tournament ranked seventh, one place higher than their seeding.

World No.10 King beat Donna Urquhart in straight games before Megan Craig went down in five games to Rachael Grinham to level the scores.

The tie came down to a clash between New Zealand world No.55 Landers-Murphy and 53rd-ranked Tamika Saxby, which the Kiwi won in straight games.
