The 24-year-old's move comes in the wake of a truncated shift to the United States in June in which she lasted just 26 days at Sky Blue FC.

A disappointed Nayler didn't get a chance to play for the New Jersey-based club before she was released, leaving her hopeful of securing a contract in the wake of New Zealand's failed Olympic campaign in Rio.

Olympique Lyonnais has won a record 14 French league titles, including this year's crown.

Nayler has played 31 internationals for New Zealand, including all three appearances in Rio, where New Zealand failed to advance through the pool stage.
