New Zealand amateur champion Rose Zheng will spearhead a three-strong team to contest the Queen Sirikit Cup tournament in China.

Aucklander Zheng is joined by Alanna Campbell (Bay of Plenty) and Amelia Garvey (Canterbury) for the annual Asia/Pacific region amateur teams tournament in May.

Campbell is the only player to have contested the tournament previously.

She has recently returned to New Zealand after spending time practising with world No.1 Kiwi Lydia Ko after being granted a scholarship.

"I have had a great year so far and to be able to join Lydia and learn from the best was amazing," Campbell said.

"She is such a level headed person and hopefully I can take the things I have learnt and put them into place for the Queen Sirikit."
