Nine horse-rider combinations have been included in the New Zealand high performance eventing squad which will target success at next year's World Equestrian Games.

Six riders are in the squad, including evergreen 61-year-old Sir Mark Todd, who has two mounts.

He is joined by fellow-veteran Blyth Tait, Tim and Jonelle Price, Clarke Johnstone and Caroline Powell.

Todd is in with his 2012 London Olympic Games team bronze medal-winning horse NZB Campino and his 2016 Olympic mount Leonidas II.

Jonelle Price has Classic Moet, who was fourth individual at the 2014 World Equestrian Games and her Rio Olympic Games horse Faerie Dianimo.

Tim Price has Rio mount Ringwood Sky Boy and the well-performed Bango.

Rio reserve Tait is in with Bear Necessity V while Johnstone, New Zealand's best-placed individual at Rio (sixth), makes the squad with Balmoral Sensation.

Powell rejoins the squad with Onwards and Upwards.
