NZ Olympians make sound start at Burghley

Jonelle Price is sixth on Classic Moet after accruing 48.5 penalty points. Husband Tim Price is 10th on Bango after scoring 49.5.

Bettina Hoy of Germany has opened up an eight-point lead on the field following an excellent display on Designer 10.

Only one other Kiwi was in action on day one. Dan Jocelyn was 26th out of 36 riders on Dassett Cool Touch with a score of 59.8.

Three Kiwis who have won multiple Burghley titles will begin their campaigns on Friday - Sir Mark Todd, Andrew Nicholson and Blyth Tait.
