Six teammates, including two Kiwis, stood down during police investigations into a rape allegation have been reinstated by their French rugby club Grenoble.

New Zealand pair Rory Grice and Dylan Hayes, ex-Brumbies forward Peter Kimlin, Frenchman Loick Jammes and Ireland's Dennis Coulson and Chris Farrell were interviewed by French police in Grenoble earlier this month.

No charges were laid and the club has reinstated the players while reserving the right to take further action if new information emerges.

The investigation reportedly stemmed from a 21-year-old woman's allegation that she was drugged and raped after meeting players at a Bordeaux nightclub on March 11.

Grice, Jammes and Coulson were detained overnight on March 23.
