Sir Mark Todd's consistency has helped New Zealand placed second at a Nations Cup three-day event in the Netherlands.

The evergreen Todd was sixth in individual competition as the Kiwi team managed a runners-up finish behind Great Britain at the 12-nation competition.

Riding Kiltubrid Rhapsody, Todd knocked over one rail and picked up time faults in the showjumping phase to fall two places in Boekelo, having sat fourth after the dressage and showjumping.

It was Todd's first team event since his dramatic Rio Olympic campaign when he knocked down four showjumping rails to end New Zealand's medal hopes.

Germany's Stephanie Bohe won on Haytom while the other notable Kiwis in a field of 94 were 16th-placed Daniel Jocelyn on Beaucatcher and 27th-placed Blyth Tait on Xanthus III.
