Despite failing to make the final of the World Twenty20, the Black Caps are now the No.1-ranked side in the format.

New Zealand sit on the same number of points as India - 132 - but when it comes down to decimal points it tops the rankings after picking up 12 points.

The side jumped two places in the latest rankings and sit 10 points ahead of World T20 champions West Indies.

England, who ended New Zealand's run at the tournament in the semi-finals, are fifth, a spot behind South Africa.

The latest rankings come after results from the 2012-13 season were dropped from consideration.

New Zealand are second in the ODI rankings behind Australia and are fifth in the Test rankings.
