The New Zealand women's hockey team will meet winless South Korea in the quarter-finals of the eight-nation Hawke's Bay Cup after going undefeated through pool play.

Two stunning goals from Stacey Michelsen and Charlotte Harrison in the final 10 minutes meant the Black Sticks topped Ireland 3-1 after trailing at half time. Anita Punt scored the home side's equaliser.

Tuesday's result followed a 1-0 win over India and a 3-1 defeat of China.

The Pool B winners will now meet Korea, who finished bottom of Pool A after three losses.

Thursday's quarter-finals: NZ v Korea, Australia v India, China v Canada and Japan v Ireland.
