US-based Kiwi runner Lucy Oliver is making a late run for Olympic inclusion, clocking another sharp 5000m in Oregon at the weekend.

Oliver won the High Performance 5000m in 15 minutes 24.06, just .06sec outside the Olympic B mark at the Stumptown Twilight track meeting.

The 27-year-old has already ducked under the New Zealand B standard of 15:24, finishing third in 15:20.13 at the Portland Track Classic two weeks ago.

Her chances will be boosted if she can better the A standard of 15:18 within the next few weeks.

Oliver, formerly van Dalen, made the 1500m semi-finals at the London Olympics, and contested both the 1500m and 5000m at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
