Plane overshoots Waikato runway

Police said the light aircraft had ended up in a paddock after landing on a runway at Raglan Airfield on Friday, but that the pilot had left the plane safely.

There were no other passengers and no petrol had leaked out, police said.

The airfield borders the Raglan Kopua Holiday Park which is a popular destination during Summer.

The Civil Aviation Authority has been notified.
