The public's help and excellent CCTV cameras helped police arrest a 40-year-old woman who committed three aggravated robberies in Dunedin.

The first robbery took place at McAuliffe Jewellers on June 6 and the other two were at Elgin Foodmarket and Todd Antiques on June 23.

"We are extremely pleased to be able to hold this person to account," says Detective Sergeant Dave Nelson.

He said information from the public and CCTV cameras through the city were crucial in making the arrest.

She will appear in the Dunedin District Court on Friday on three charges of aggravated robbery.
