Police name truck driver in fatal crash

He was 56-year-old Albert Frans Devries of Rotorua.

The truck and trailer unit carrying logs rolled down a bank and into a creek on Te Anaga Road at 10.50am on Thursday.

Police are hoping to speak with the driver of a dark coloured utility vehicle which was travelling westbound on Te Anga Road between 10am and 10.30am on that day so they can establish the circumstances of the crash.
