Former Havelock North woman Chantelle Klasema, 29, died after falling 10 metres from an apartment complex in Collingwood on Saturday and a 35-year-old man who also fell was in hospital in a stable condition.

Victoria Police say they will prepare a report for the coroner and are still investigating the exact cause of the fall, but are not treating the death as suspicious.

Ms Klasema's father told the Herald Sun he was desperate to find out what had happened.

"I have never in my life heard a story where two people dropped from a building," he said.
