Police seek doctor about Prince case

Associated Press Associated Press 7/05/2016

Investigators want to interview a Californian doctor about a prescription drug his son brought for Prince before the singer was found collapsed at his Minnesota home.

They also want to know if Dr Howard Kornfeld and son Andrew Kornfeld had a longer-term medical relationship with Prince, law enforcement sources briefed on the case have told The Associated Press.

Neither of the Kornfelds is accused of wrongdoing.

Their lawyer, William Mauzy, said Prince's staff called Howard Kornfeld on April 20.

He sent his son on an overnight flight with the drug buprenorphine.

Andrew Kornfeld found Prince unresponsive and did not administer the drug.
