Police seek victim of Dunedin hit and run

Police want to speak to an elderly pedestrian they believe was hit by a car driven by a teen in central Dunedin.

Police say they tracked down two teenage occupants of a vehicle that the pubic reported was involved in the incident on the corner George and St Andrews streets around 3.30pm on Sunday.

One was a 15-year-old wanted by police for breach of bail conditions, and the other was a 13-year-old who has been referred to Youth Aid.

Police believe the pedestrian was hit was a Caucasian male aged in the late 60s to early 70s wearing what looked like a blue and black Swandri jacket.

The vehicle involved was a small blue Nissan hatchback with white signwriting on the sides.
