White Ferns opener Rachel Priest says her side will look to build on their thumping eight-wicket ODI win over South Africa in Paarl.

The Kiwis were too good for their opponents, surpassing their target of 195 with more than 21 overs remaining.

Priest and fellow batter Amy Satterthwaite notched up a 139-run partnership after Nat Dodd fell in the first over.

They scored 86 not out and 81 not out, respectively, as New Zealand strolled to victory and a 3-1 lead in the seven-match series.

"It's always nice to get runs at the top of the order and losing an early wicket is always a little shaky, but me and Amy came together," Priest said.

"It was a pretty useful partnership.

"It's always nice to be part of a big one and contribute to the team in that way."

Priest expected South Africa to come out firing in Wednesday's fourth ODI after two heavy losses on the trot.
