Pulse defy Mystics' second-half surge

The Pulse have survived a second-half comeback to repulse the visiting Mystics 47-43 in Wellington.

It was a defender's game in a low-scoring national netball premiership clash, where the hosts dominated the first half, going to the break with a 28-19 lead.

The Mystics bounded back for the second half with a major improvement in composure and connections, scoring the first five goals to close to within four.

They narrowly won the third quarter and the fourth quarter 13-9 but could not haul in the Pulse, whose shooting trio returned a 90 per cent success rate.
