Raider Tapine to miss month with injury

Kiwis Test forward Joseph Tapine will miss up to five weeks of the NRL season with the Canberra Raiders due to a finger injury.

The Raiders expect the 22-year-old to miss at least a month after undergoing surgery to heal the broken finger sustained in their round-one loss to North Queensland on Saturday.

Tapine made his Kiwis debut during last year's Four Nations tournament, playing two Tests.

His loss is offset at Canberra by prop Junior Paulo's return from a road rage suspension.
