Australia must score 35 off five overs to win the second women's Twenty20 cricket international at Geelong.

Rain stopped play for 32 minutes on Sunday, with the Southern Stars 3-35 off eight overs after New Zealand's White Ferns scored 9-101 from their 20 overs.

A maximum of 13 overs were possible in the Australian innings and their revised target under the Duckworth-Lewis system was 70.

Rain is forecast throughout Sunday afternoon and evening in Geelong, with the women's match followed by the Australia-Sri Lanka men's T20.
