Rodgers stars as Packers stop rot in NFL

Press AssociationPress Association 29/11/2016

Aaron Rodgers has turned in a vintage performance as the Green Bay Packers beat the Philadelphia Eagles 27-13 to snap a four-game NFL losing streak.

Rodgers threw for 313 yards and two touchdowns - both to Davante Adams - as the Packers kept their playoff hopes alive by moving to 5-6, still two games behind the Detroit Lions in the NFC North.

Rodgers led the Packers on touchdown drives on each of their opening possessions.

The Eagles answered on the first, but though rookie quarterback Carson Wentz threw for 254 yards and rushed for a touchdown, he could not keep pace with Rodgers.

That was in part down to a Packers defence which had given up 30 or more points in each of the last four games but managed to disrupt Philadelphia.

The Eagles, who have lost six of their last eight games, drop to 5-6, last in the NFC East.
