New Crusaders boss Scott Robertson has completed his coaching roster for 2017 Super Rugby by acquiring Jason Ryan as an assistant.

Ryan, who works under Robertson at Mitre 10 Cup side Canterbury, has signed a three-year deal and will work alongside fellow assistants Brad Moorar and Leon MacDonald.

He will be placed in charge of forwards training.

"He is well known in New Zealand rugby circles as an expert on scrums and it's a prized skillset that he will bring to the group," Robertson said.
