Lydia Ko logged her worst finish of the season as she went further backwards in her final round of the LPGA tournament in Korea.

World No.1 Ko continued a lean run of form by her standards in placing 51st on three-over at the KEB Hana Bank Championship in Incheon.

The New Zealander dropped six places on Sunday courtesy of a closing two-over 74 - her third round over par for the week - shooting four of her five bogeys over the last six holes.

It was Ko's fourth-worst finish as a professional. She has missed the cut once as a professional, last year, and in 2014 she finished 55th and 61st.

She hasn't won a tournament since July and has been 20th or worse in her last three starts.

World No.37 Spaniard Carlota Ciganda clinched her first LPGA title, beating American Alison Lee in the first hole of a play-off.

Ciganda recovered after a blowing a five-stroke lead going into her final five holes.

She had fallen short twice previously in play-offs, including a loss to Ko at the 2014 season-ending Tour Championship.
