New Zealand sit skier Corey Peters has secured a second silver medal at the para alpine skiing world championships in Italy.

The New Plymouth skier was second in the super-G after filling the same placing in the downhill earlier in the championships.

He was just 0.70 seconds behind Switzerland's Christoph Kunz and edged downhill champion American Andrew Kurka into third.

"I thought I skied the hill as well as I could have with very few mistakes and a good fast line," he said.

Fellow Kiwi Adam Hall, who competes in the standing category, was 15th in the super-G and has his eyes on the slalom later in the championships.
