Sharks could rest players after Origin

Cronulla coach Shane Flanagan will consider resting State of Origin players from NRL matches after Game III following their flogging at the hands of Manly last week.

The Sharks slipped out of the top four after their biggest loss of the season, and their five Origin players will on Saturday against Sydney Roosters line up for their third game in 10 days.

"The way we performed on the back of that second Origin wasn't good. Maybe I need to think about resting a couple of those players or changing the way we start, with them off the bench," Flanagan said.
