A shocking video shows the moment 100 Wetherspoons customers were caught on camera brawling in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Both men and women were filmed throwing punches at each other as the music continued to play in the background.

The incident took place in the early hours of the morning at The Albany Palace Wetherspoons, also known as Lloyds No 1 bar in Trowbridge, Wiltshire.

Tommy said: "There was a group of lads, who had obviously had a bit to drink.

"It started as two people on one and then suddenly escalated into almost everyone in the bar.

"I was walking back from the bar with a pint in my hand when I heard a load of shouting and looked around.

"Then I just saw everyone fighting, I didn't even have time to think about it.

"One of my best mates was bottled, he wasn't even involved in the fight.

"Somehow he ended up getting caught up in it all on his way back from the bar.

"There was a lot of blood, and a big wound on the top of his forehead. Someone called for an ambulance, which arrived pretty quickly and he was taken to A&E at the Royal United Hospital.

"He's OK now, though."

It was reported that a police officer was struck in the face as he tried to break up the incident.

Speaking about the brawl, Tommy added: "I've never seen anything like it. I mean, I've seen fights happen in pubs before on a night out, but this was something else.

"Both men and women were involved."

Tommy told Mirror.co.uk that he was unsure of what to do at the time of the fight.

"I had a bit of an adrenaline rush, it didn't really sink in until afterwards.

"I just remember getting my phone out and pressing record."

"Me and my mates got split up after the fight so we decided to meet at the next club. But by the time we'd got there, we just ended up calling it a night."

One person has been charged with being in possession of a knife.

Police are appealing for witnesses with information to come forward.

Mirror.co.uk has contacted Wiltshire Police for comment.

A spokesman for JD Wetherspoon said: "We completely condemn the action of a large number of people at our pub in Trowbridge.

"The incident caused distress to our staff and regular customers. The pub has never encountered an incident like this.

"We will work with the Police to ensure that those involved are brought to justice."
