NZ NewswireNZ Newswire 15/06/2016

Six workers have been hospitalised, including one who is in a serious condition, after receiving an electric shock at a Christchurch fertiliser factory.

The incident happened at Ravensdown, in the city's west, on Thursday morning.

A man in his 60s is in a serious condition, while the five others are being treated for minor injuries at Christchurch Hospital, a St John spokesman said.

A WorkSafe spokesman said the agency was investigating.
