Socceroo Rogic still sidelined for Celtic

Socceroos midfielder Tom Rogic continues to make a good recovery from his ankle injury but will not make Celtic's Scottish Premier League clash against Hearts.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is pleased with the progress made by the Australia midfielder who has been out since December but will monitor him over the next week or so.

Rogic last played against Dundee on December 17 and played no part in Australia's two most recent World Cup qualifiers - a disappointing 1-1 draw with Iraq in Tehran and a 2-0 win over UAE in Sydney.

The 24-year-old will be a welcome return for national coach Ange Postecoglou when qualifying resumes. The Socceroos next face Saudi Arabia before a friendly against Brazil in the lead-up to the Confederations Cup in Russia.

Rodgers will assess a few players who returned from the international break but insists there is nothing too concerning ahead of Sunday's match. His Celtic side could already be champions by the time they take the field at Tynecastle if Dundee defeat Aberdeen on Friday.
