Sports writer DJ Cameron dies

Cameron was one of the country's foremost sport writers for nearly half a century.

Donald John Cameron, better known by his byline "DJ" worked for the New Zealand Herald from 1950-98, establishing himself as the chief cricket and rugby writer at the newspaper.

Cameron was also the author of numerous sports books.
