Steady start for Ko

NZ NewswireNZ Newswire 10/06/2016

World No.1 Lydia Ko has fired a solid even-par opening round to sit four shots astray of the lead at the women's PGA Championship in Washington.

Canada's world No.4 Brooke Henderson set the early pace with four-under 67, including a hole in one at the par-three 13th in chilly, overcast conditions at Sahalee Country Club.

She leads American Christina Kim and South Korean In-Kyung Kim by two strokes, with seven others a further shot behind in a share of fourth.
