Team Wellington have handed out a 8-0 drubbing to Fijian club Ba to advance to the semi-finals of the Oceania Champions League.

The New Zealand domestic champions completed a perfect pool campaign in New Caledonia, having beaten clubs from New Caledonia and the Cook Islands ahead of their romp on Saturday.

Fiji champions Ba were unbeaten in their first two games this week but were never in the contest after Tom Jackson scored from the penalty spot in the 18th minute.

Jackson bagged a hat-trick and Ben Harris a double while the other goal-scorers were Nicolas Zambrano, Mario Barcia and Leo Villa.

The Wellington side will contest a two-legged semi-final in April.

New Zealand's other leading club, Auckland City FC, will play their three pool games in Auckland starting next week.

They will face opponents from Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands.
