File. © Klaus Tiedge/Corbis File. Auckland police are trying to track down a man who reportedly tried to film a teenager as she tried on clothes in a south Auckland shop two weeks ago.

Staff interrupted the man holding a cellphone under the door of the changing cubicle in the Papakura shop on Monday, November 28, says Detective Senior Sergeant Mal Hassall.

CCTV footage showed him earlier in the women's lingerie section following the 14-year-old and her mother.

"This was very disturbing behaviour and we need anyone who knows who this man is to contact us," Det Snr Sgt Hassall said.

The man was described as Maori or Pacific Islander, aged 25-30, solid build and with a moustache, goatee and stubble. He was wearing a dark grey/brown hooded jersey, black shorts and black shoes.

He drove off in a white 1990s Nissan Bluebird with a black door on the driver's side.
