Teens arrested after Whanganui ram raid

Two people fled the scene with only a small amount of chocolate after the stolen car they were driving rolled backwards and into a bowser, while they were trying to ram into the BP store on Taupo Quay on Sunday morning.

A 14-year and 16-year-old were arrested half an hour later.

They have been charged with burglary and unlawfully taking a motor vehicle and will be dealt with by Youth Aid.
