A 10-year-old Irish boy has been flown across the world to meet his rugby heroes, after he sent in an audition tape of himself performing the haka.

Colm Moran from Kildare is one of two young apprentices chosen to join the All Blacks as they prepare to take on Manu Samoa in Auckland on Friday.

His official duties will be joining the team for lunch, helping set up the All Blacks' bench on game day and overseeing the game from a sideline spot.

Colm says he's excited to help the team prepare for the big game.

"I can't wait to see the haka performed live."

Brooklyn Logan, 13, was also chosen from over 2,000 entrants in a global search for the volunteer positions.

The Nelson teenager submitted a video of herself showcasing her love of rugby, which started when she was five.

The pair will run out the match ball at Eden park on Friday evening.
