Buying makeup is tricky. If you're shopping in a store, a pushy sales associate can persuade you to buy something that isn't quite right. And if you're shopping online, picking out the right colors and products can be next to impossible. 

But thankfully, there are a few makeup stores that understand the struggle. To that end, we've rounded up four sites that offer killer return policies. The stores below allow you to shop with ease, knowing that you can return that opened lipstick or that wrong shade of foundation. BRB, we're going shopping! 

Beauty.com

Online policy: All Beauty.com purchases are backed by our 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you are not satisfied with any item you have purchased from Beauty.com, you may return it within 30 days of the date it was delivered and receive a refund or in-store credit.

Blue Mercury

Online policy: If you are not completely satisfied with a Bluemercury.com purchase or gift for any reason, please return it for a full refund or Bluemercury Gift Card. We regret that we are unable to cover the cost of return shipping or refund your original shipping charges unless the return was a result of our error.When you return your purchase to Bluemercury.com by mail within 30 days of purchase date, you will receive a full refund to your credit card for the price of the item(s). If we receive your item(s) within 31-60 days of purchase date or if they were paid with a Bluemercury Gift Card, you will receive a refund in the form of a Bluemercury Gift Card for the price of the item(s). Items received more than 60 days after the purchase date may not be returned.

Sephora

In-store policy: In order to obtain a refund in the same form of payment as your purchase was made, Sephora in-store purchases and Sephora inside JCPenney purchases must be returned with a receipt or gift receipt at a store location. We do not accept mail returns for merchandise originally purchased at a retail location.

Online policy:Sephora.com purchases can be easily returned for FREE (no return shipping or handling fees) to any of our Sephora locations or by mail if you use our pre-paid return shipping label (follow the return procedures described below). We regret that we are unable to refund your original shipping charges, if applicable, unless the return was a result of our error. When you return your purchase to Sephora.com by mail and we receive your item within 60 days of purchase, if you paid with a credit or debit card, you will receive a full refund to your credit or debit card for the purchase price of the item. If we receive your item by mail within 61-90 days of purchase, or if your item was paid for with a Sephora gift card or online store credit and we receive it by mail within 90 days of purchase, you will receive a full refund in the form of an online store credit for the item which may be redeemed at Sephora.com. In-store policy: If for any reason you're not 100% satisfied with your purchase, it may be returned. All returns must be accompanied by the receipt and all original components. A full refund will be issued on a return, providing the return is within 60 days of the original purchase date. Credit will be issued on a return after 60 days of original purchase date.

Online policy:Products must be returned within 60 days of the Process Date on the order packing slip to receive a refund to the payment method used on ULTA.com. An Ulta Beauty Gift Card or eGift Card will be issued for returns of products after 60 days of the Process Date on the order packing slip when returned to the processing center.
