Hugh Jackman knows how to keep his wife on his good side.

During an interview with the Australian show "Sunrise," the "Wolverine" actor revealed the recipe to his long marriage is the slogan "Happy wife, happy life."

Adding that the phrase is "drummed into" him every day, Jackman said he and his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, are about to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary.

The actor recently gushed about his wife of two decades during an appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." Jackman said he met Furness on his first job, where he said he had a "major crush" on the actress. Though he did his best to ignore her, eventually his feelings came out after a few drinks.

"I'd had a couple, and I said, ‘Oh, look, I got a crush on you, I’ll get over it,'" Jackman said. "And she went, ‘Oh, really?’ And I was like, Oh, this is bad. And she goes, ‘Yeah, I got one on you too.’ ... So that was it."

Two decades later, the proud parents of Ava and Oscar Jackman are still going strong.

"I've become infinitely more confident, infinitely braver and more within myself, from being with Deb," Jackman said during a 2013 interview on "Oprah's Next Chapter. "The bedrock of any relationship is to communicate, and Deb and I have always done that, discussing whatever’s going on, good or bad."

Sounds like Jackman should be a relationship counselor whenever he decides to retire from acting.
