Third arrest in Dome Valley case

A third arrest has been made after a woman was found seriously injured on the side of a road north of Auckland last week.

A 42-year-old woman has been arrested and will appear in the North Shore District Court on Monday facing one charge of kidnapping, police said on Sunday.

The victim, aged in her 20s, was found by a member of the public last Monday morning in Dome Valley and was flown to hospital.

She remains in Auckland Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

A 38-year-old man was earlier charged with kidnapping and was remanded in custody after a court appearance.

A 28-year-old woman was granted name suppression when she appeared in the North Shore District Court on Saturday and is due to reappear on Tuesday after being remanded in custody.

She was charged with two counts of kidnapping and one charge of threatening to kill.

Police are still not ruling out further arrests.
